Trip 3 : Daidomon @ Great Eastern Mall

Food, Food, Glorious Fooooood......

Once again, we indulged ourself in good food over the weekend...

Last weekend was a crazy weekend for us, so jam packed with activities that I didn't have time to stop to breathe.

On Friday, all our members from Penang came over to KL for a gathering. Our first destination was Daidomon at Great Eastern Mall, KL.

We departed from hotel at 6pm and only managed to reach by 730pm. One hour late from the estimated time indicated by CE's GPS. The traffic jam was horrigible. CK's car was also banged by a dreaming driver. Eddy was so hungry that he almost wanted to go and get a bun from any nearby shop. Everyone was delighted when we saw the glowing lion on Great Eastern Mall!

Presenting Daidomon at Great Eastern Mall, KL!!!!

I do not know why there is this waiting area here. Usually bosses will fully utilise all the space in their shop to earn money. This is a very special boss.

Jam-packed as always!!!

The menu! Honestly, the variety is not as much as they claim they have.

When we reach, Adam and Xavier were already helping themself with some Potato Wedges...

Don't know why Adam took this shot. He left to Singapore without telling me why. Maybe he thinks the chopstick, plate and sauce plate looks interesting?

The sauce that taste sooooooo yummy!

As we settle down, we chit chat a little, then we got up and start attacking the foooood...

Here are some of the ready cooked food there!

More ready cooked food!

Here comes the raw meat! *Gulp*

Raw Seafoooooooooood!!!!!

Sizzling on the hot plate! :D

Ready to be serve!

YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMY!

This is the Salmon I chefed. Looks edible right?

Adam's Favourite Prawn! Big and Juicy!

Trip 2 : Italiannies @ The Gardens and The Social @ Bangsar

Last weekend, we went to Italiannies for dinner. We were at the gym and suddenly Xavier suggested that we go to Italiannies for dinner because he was walking passed Italiannies the day before and he found the aroma coming from Italiannies is too tempting to resist. So me and Adam agree with the idea because it was a long time since we last went.

When we reach Italiannies, we ordered a few variety of food to share. The best is the "Naan with Cheese and Cherry Tomatoes"!! Of cos, that is not the real name la...We forgot what it is called but it seriously taste like Naan and it it yummilicious...

Bread with Vinegar and Olive Oil! This is the starter...

Presenting to you the best Naan in Town!!!!

Xavier order this fish dish in which we forgot the name as well..Hahahaha...By now you should be thinking "What kind of food blog is this?" Let me remind you, this is not really a food blog...this is more like a food and travel log...:P

Spaghetti Cabonara!! My favourite!!!

Beef Pepperoni Pizza!!! Look at the cheese...*gulp*

After dinner, we went to this bistro in Bangsar named The Social. Me and Adam came 2 weekends ago to catch the match between MU and Liverpool. We instantly fell in love with the live band there. So we decided to bring Xavier there but as usual, he potong steam again by showing his charcoal face... he say he do not enjoy live band but I have to agree, that night the live band did not perform as good as the 1st time when we came.

I ordered this Blue Hawaii...so so only la..

Adam's Mojito..

Here's the live band...they are good, very talented but last weekend not as powderful as the week before. I hope the next time round when I go there, they will put in more fire powder to make the show more BOOM... :D

Trip 1 : Dimsum @ Bamboo River

Foooooooood.......

The most common question asked when it comes to food is..

"Do you eat to live or live to eat?"

For me, this question is just another chicken and egg story, which came first.

Before I start telling you about our 1st makan trip, let me introduce myself. I'm Wing. This is not just another "jalan jalan cari makan"(walk walk find eat) group but we are inviting more people to join us in our trips. At the moment, the membership is still exclusive to close friends but if you are interested, kindly drop us an email @ pohpiahs@gmail.com to request for a invitation to join the group.

Last weekend, me and Adam went for dimsum at Bamboo River. The person who creatively suggested the name Bamboo River was down with a slight fever hence he couldn't make it. If you are still guessing where this Bamboo River is, think harder, translate if you have to, then I'm sure you will figure out where this Bamboo River is.

We went to this dimsum restaurant called Restoran Kong Mah. We came here once previously and I fell totally in love with the Guai Ling Gou. This time round, we discover something good there, the Hor Yip Rice! Totally yummmmmmieeeeeee.... So filled with ingredients, not too sweet and not too salty.

We start our trip at 845am. By the time we reached, it is around 930am. There were still a lot of people there. We found a table and quickly settle down. We ordered tea and some dimsum. We waited for quite some time and I started complaining what took the tea so long to come. While we were busy talking and discussing about other Pohpiahs trips, suddenly the teapot miraculously appear right in front of us!

Adam : Eh the tea is here!
Me : WTH.. when it came?
Adam : Dunno man...
Me : Walao...I don't even see anyone walking near to the table...

Haha...Either we were just too busy planning for future trips and we didn't notice or the worker has swift hands. Soon, we were busy indulging the dimsum that were served to us. Some of the dimsum are nothing special but some are real good stuff.

Pictures paint a thousand words. Let me show you the pics and you make the judgement.

Adam's Favourite BitterGourd

My Favourite Toufu!

The Champion Guai Ling Gou!!!!

ARGH.... THE ULTIMATE HOR YIP RICE!!!!

The trip didn't stop here! After having a sinful meal, we decided to go for a movie. Being KNN that morning, I suggested to Adam that we try a new route that leads to Kota Damansara so we can escape the toll.

We start our journey using the main highway but as the deeper we go, we had to depend on the road with the most cars. Well, just as expected, we got lost. So we had to depend on our instinct to bring us out of this unfamiliar grounds. But... somehow we were glad we got lost. We found places that we don't even know exist. So kampong and so peaceful. It took the hectic lifestyle we are leading to a halt. Whatever stressful moment we had in our life and the dramas just seem to evaporate the moment we step into this distance ground.

Behold the photos we took in our stress-free detour!

We end up in a kampong called Pekan Kuang. No idea how to get back there.

Waterfall World!!! It makes me wonder if there is really a waterfall there.

Notice the PanduPerlahan (Drive Slowly) is one word.

This is a school....

I have no idea what is this but this is really not something we can see in the city.

LOOK AT THE VIEW! GOSH! WHERE ON EARTH IS THIS?!?!?!

We end up in Shah Alam. Seriously if you asked me how to get back there, I do not know.

Now we are looking forward to the next trip!!!!
